Juanita (Nita) serves as the Vice President, Human Resources for Teradata, where she leads the Organizational Development, Learning and Inclusion & Diversity efforts for the enterprise. Prior to joining Teradata in March of 2018, Juanita held both business and Strategic HR Business Partner positions in the life science, telecommunications and environmental health industries. Nita has held HR Leadership roles at both Merck KGaA (Millipore Sigma) and Thermo Fisher Scientific. She is also a member of the San Diego Economic Council Inclusive Growth Steering Committee, which is designed to build the necessary diverse talent pipeline for 2030 for the San Diego region to foster more available talent locally for the future needs of businesses within the region. Under Nita’s leadership, Teradata has assumed a collaboration with the United Nations Global Compact, Athena and the New York Academy of Sciences to drive business awareness of the fundamental impact of workforce diversity in achieving gender equality by 2030. This strategic partnership will launch an action platform called “Athena Assembly.” This data driven, multi-year initiative consists of 15 global STEM companies and sets out to pilot and publish a scientifically backed “playbook” to assist companies in implementing and capturing the competitive advantages associated with gender equality.
