Personal

April Wilson is a board CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, senior team leader, and public speaker.  After watching how personal financial decisions affected her family as a child, she became obsessed with understanding the powers of money and finance. 

 

She has been in the financial services industry since 1994, and during that time has had the opportunity to work in two northwest financial advisory practices.  In 2006 she started her own financial services practice in Bellevue with Pacific Capital Resource Group, a holistic financial services firm*. 

 

Currently, April is a Vice President at Pacific Capital Resource Group, Inc., an agency of the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company.  She is a Certified Financial Planner, a designation only 20% of advisors have earned.

 

She is the expert eyes for her clients and an advocate for empowerment through education.  She heads a Women’s Resource Group that reaches the community through educational seminars and speaking events, educating women on making better financial decisions and understanding areas of financial planning that are relevant to their everyday lives. 

 

April resides in Kirkland with her husband Jason, daughter Zoe and son Jack.  When April isn’t working she enjoys snow skiing, golfing, boating, and biking.

April’s Approach
April meets with clients to review their finances and discuss both their short and long term goals. She will analyze a client’s financial situation and determine which strategies could work best to meet their objectives. After tailoring a specific plan to help meet these needs and goals, April will meet with the client on a regular basis to stay updated on their portfolio and address any new goals the client wishes to create.

 

April has a relationship-driven approach to her financial planning, in which she strives to provide quality advice, implementation and a diversity of services at the highest possible standards.  She provides comprehensive financial and insurance services helping her client’s obtain security and independence while focusing on building long-term relationships.

 

Certifications and Awards
April earned her Certified Financial Planner™ professional designation in 2005.  April also passed the FINRA exams 7, 66, and 24 in addition to having her Washington State Life, Disability, and Long Term Care Licenses.  She is an Investment Adviser Representative of Hornor, Townsend and Kent, Inc.
