Ruchi joined Elevance Health in 2021 to lead Elevance Health’s DEI Strategic Framework, fostering partnerships with Elevance Health’s DEI Council and Senior Leadership team to develop DEI strategies and enterprise initiatives that advance Elevance Health’s overall diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts internally and externally. Prior to Elevance Health, Ruchi was Vice President & Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer with BAE Systems Inc., a subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, an international defense, security, and aerospace company.
Ruchi is an experienced, award-winning DEI leader known for building top-performing teams, fostering strong collaboration between DEI and business functions, and is a frequent contributor to publications, panels, keynotes, and other events. Ruchi is a co-founding member of CHIEF, a private network designed for women in executive leadership and a member of the board of trustees for the Langley school. Previously, she also served as President of the Northern Virginia SHRM Board of Directors.
In addition to earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Western Ontario, Ruchi has earned certifications as a Qualified Administrator, Intercultural Development Inventory, Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR), HR Certification Institute, SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) for Human Resource Management, and Certificate in Human Resources Management [High Honors], Seneca College, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and three children.
