She is passionate about closing gaps and providing equitable opportunities for the communities she serves, ensuring that everyone feels a sense of belonging in their workplace. With extensive experience in performance management and strategic planning focusing on results, data, and equity, she has been able to work with diverse groups of people across different cultures to build and generate trust, to co-design programs and initiatives, and to implement and measure our effectiveness for maximum impact.

She supports the Chief Equity Officer to lead USPโ€™s global DEIB strategy development and implementation, while prioritizing appropriate and accurate measurement methods to enhance data-driven work. She actively collaborates with the global sites to determine priorities and implement practices that are meaningful to their contexts to enable a truly inclusive, engaged, and high-performance culture.

Prior to joining USP, Marian served as the Senior Associate at the Annie E. Casey Foundation and was responsible for implementing the Foundationโ€™s performance measurement process and system. She has also previously worked as the Director of Evaluation & Reporting at the United Way of Central Maryland where she was responsible for program outcomes and reporting, providing technical assistance to both internal and external stakeholders. Marian was also previously the Program Officer for Quality of Care and Performance Improvement Initiative at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health/Center for Communication Programs.

Ms. Amoa is a certified coach with advanced degrees in Intercultural Communication and Communication Studies from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and University of Ghana. She also holds certificates in Public Performance Measurement and Strategic Management from Rutgers University and Georgetown University.
